Background

Carlos Rodrigues is assistant professor at the Department of Social, Political and Territorial Sciences (DCSPT) of the University of Aveiro (UA). His research and teaching activities are focused on territorial innovation systems, higher education studies, regional policy and sports. Besides Europe, his research ´geography’ includes China, Africa and Latin America. Carlos has participated in several national and international research projects. In addition, he has a long experience of collaboration with the public sector and industry. Currently, he is the head of the DCSPT, member of the coordination of the Research Unit on Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies, and coordinator of Chinese Studies.
